A snowy Sunday afternoon meant for fuzzy pajamas, hot chocolate and a Christmas movie quickly turned into one of the worst days of my life when my dad almost lost his life. During this experience, I saw God’s goodness firsthand and was reminded of how He is always in control regardless of our circumstances.

Celebrating Christmas at MBU – 2022

With winter fast approaching and the air becoming crisper, jingle bells whisper in the wind as vibrant red and green colors begin to appear, meaning it must be getting close to Christmas time. This holiday season, MBU has put on a variety of activities and events throughout December leading up to Christmas break. Students had a blast participating in all the fun activities. Students who are a part of MBU’s Opinion Writing class also shared their favorite winter season foods as they look forward to spending time with friends and family during Christmas.

A Historic Christmas for a Historic Town

Historic downtown St. Charles, Missouri, hosts the St. Charles Christmas Traditions every Christmas season, giving thousands of families wonderful memories and creating traditions for many locals. The event includes characters such as Santa Claus, USO Fighters, characters from “The Nutcracker” and “A Christmas Carol” and more. Characters hold collectable cards which have pictures of themselves as well as information about the character for all to take home as memorabilia.

My family and I love spending time together for the holidays. Our favorite Christmas tradition is gathering at my house and watching a Christmas movie, while drinking hot chocolate before we open up gifts from each other. Decorating for Christmas is also one of my favorite activities around the holidays because it just makes my house more cheery and bright.
