The MBU Spartans took on the St. Xavier Cougars at the university’s annual Homecoming game Oct. 19. The Spartans’ offense was productive, led by quarterback John Lux, who threw 22 completions for 370 yards and four touchdowns. The Spartans lost their Homecoming game, 45-34. Fun and Games at MBU Homecoming 2019
Missouri Baptist University’s 2019 Homecoming proved to be bigger and better than ever as alumni, students, faculty and staff members turned out for a beautiful cool and sunny day in the Quad, with free food, games and the annual football game that followed.
Homecoming Perks Up MBU Students
Missouri Baptist University’s annual Homecoming event brings alumni, students and family members to campus each year, culminating with a football game and, the night before, thePerk [23], a concert in the Muncy Gym that features a local act, MBU talent and plenty of free coffee and food. This year the event featured the St. Louis band, We Are Root Mod.

MBU Celebrates Faith and Athletics during Homecoming Chapel
Spartans gathered in the gym during Homecoming week for a special time of faith, athletics, testimonies and cheer, along with free milk and cookies outside the SRC after chapel.
MBU Homecoming BBQ Tailgate
MBU hosted their third annual Homecoming Football game last Saturday. Students, faculty, and staff met to roast marshmallows and grill hotdogs and hamburgers. MBU’s dance team performed right before Spartan Walk to pump up the crowd.
MBU Homecoming Game
Missouri Baptist University celebrated its Homecoming Week roughly midway through the fall semester. To finish off the week, MBU faced off against St. Ambrose University for MBU’s third-ever Homecoming football game.
Corn Hole Tournament Does Not End in a Toss-Up
Students, faculty and MBU alumni participated in a corn hole tournament in the quad on Saturday, Oct. 25 of Homecoming weekend at Missouri Baptist University. MBU students Clayce Fletcher and Jake Gingrich won the tournament.
