MBU Students Getting “Grounded” on Friday Nights
A new student-led ministry called Grounded formed this semester, which focuses on how MBU students can root themselves in the love of Christ and share the Gospel with the MBU community. Meeting each Friday night, the ministry challenges students to represent Christ regardless of their situations in life.
COVID-19 Creates Challenges for MBU’s Field Experience Students
After prematurely closing in spring 2020, schools were back in session in the fall, but many were missing a familiar component of classrooms: student teachers and observers. As individual school districts decide whether or not to allow outside individuals into their buildings, the MBU School of Education is working through the challenges coronavirus has presented to their students to give them the in-person experience they need.

For some of us, Easter Sunday might be a time of questioning His presence during the difficult challenges of this past year. And our God is certainly big enough to answer all of life’s questions. Listening to the Lord, Leading by Example
When Ethan Metzler graduated in spring 2019, he believed his time at MBU was over. However, when the position of resident director at Pillsbury-Huff Residence Hall became available, he felt the Lord call him to lead the building of young men he was a peer with just one semester before. Regardless of the position change, Metzler continues to deeply and meaningfully connect with everyone he is around at MBU, pointing to Christ through his actions.
Springsteen Has a Spring in His Step
Bruce Springsteen released his 19th studio record in June 2019 at age 70. The album, “Western Stars,” gives listeners insight on the state of reflection and self-evaluation “The Boss” has come to as he’s gotten older. Although this record doesn’t break new musical ground, it’s an unfamiliar sound for Springsteen fans and ultimately enjoyable. As Springsteen prepares to release his next album, “Letter to You,” next month, this music review will get you tuned up for the next phase of his 50-year career.

Petition to Approach the Stand?
For many students, adjusting to life online has been an uphill battle, and could be again this fall. In effort to continue delivering quality education while pivoting to online classes and virtual sessions through apps like Zoom, MBU took serious actions to make the transition as seamless as possible. Meanwhile, a group of MBU students presented administrators with a petition to adjust grading policies to further assist the student community.
