Love MBU’s Give Back Event

After a few days of being on the receiving end of care during Love MBU, MBU students showed their own love by packing backpacks for The Women’s Safe House in the SRC on March 8, 2023.

Snow Days and the Winter Fun They Bring

Snow days are always a fun treat, even for college students. Snow days in Saint Louis are seemingly unpredictable because the weather varies constantly. However, on Jan. 25, 2023, Missouri Baptist University called off classes giving their students a snow day. Snow days always bring different activities to participate in during the bitterness of winter, and it’s always fun at any age to go outside (or stay bundled up inside) and enjoy a snow day.

Family Time During Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time for food, grateful hearts, spending time with loved ones and giving thanks to God for the immense blessings in our lives. ThePerk is one of students’ favorite locations on the MBU campus. In the fall of 2020, everyone at MBU wore masks because of the pandemic. As we continue to emerge from living through a season with required face coverings, MBU photojournalists Emily Heflin and Madisyn House capture some new and familiar faces that we can now see around thePerk.

Our Past Often Drives our Future

The experiences, actions and influences during our time growing up leave lasting impressions on all of us. So our question for today’s team blog, written by students in a journalism writing course at MBU, is this: What moments from your childhood have defined the person you are today?
