Attending a concert featuring a favorite artist is a rite of passage for many young people. For me, this rite of passage came in the form of a recent Twenty One Pilots concert. The thrill of seeing a band I have loved since I was a freshman in high school was enhanced by the group’s stunning visual presentation, musical prowess and sincere performance.
Reimagining the Magic of Disney World

Countless visitors flock to Disney World every year to experience a “magical” vacation that only the park can provide. As one of these visitors, I too have sought after that particular brand of enchanting escapism, but revisiting Disney World as an adult has forced me to come to terms with the fact that it is a real theme park that exists for the purpose of earning profits. Yet amidst this revelation, I have found new ways to find joy in the place where I’ve made so many happy memories.

Homecoming at Missouri Baptist University is always a blast, filled with some of the most anticipated activities of the academic year. This year, MBU’s Homecoming took place on Oct. 24-29 with events that catered to the entire MBU community, such as the Lip Sync Battle, Spartacus’ Birthday Party, Art in the Sunshine, Cornhole Tournament, Bonfire, Kaldi’s and Kolaches, Homecoming Tailgate Festival, football game and the famous thePerk [25] event. Once again, MBU students, staff, faculty and alumni alike were captured showing off their school spirt during this year’s week of Homecoming fun.
A Christmas Twister

Missouri Baptist University’s annual winter Fine Arts Concert, which takes place around Christmas time, was interrupted by tornado warnings, but after patrons patiently waited in safe areas while the storm passed, they returned to the Chapel for the remainder of the show.
Memories and Metamorphosis

Few people can say that they’ve had the same friend through the entirety of their lives, from grade school all the way into college years. I have, and the journey we’ve been on has taught me many lessons about life, loyalty and friendship.
MBU English Majors Present Culmination of Semester’s Work

After months of researching all manner of texts, followed by writing 25-page essays, students in a capstone course known as Senior Research Seminar in English are ready to share their work with the rest of MBU in a two-day mini-conference. The presentations will be at the Learning Center and are open to the public.
