Athletes Find Ways to Connect During Coronavirus

When the news broke that athletic operations would be suspended for the remainder of the semester, emotions of shock and grief were shared by all MBU athletic programs. The MBU Spartans took on the St. Xavier Cougars at the university’s annual Homecoming game Oct. 19. The Spartans’ offense was productive, led by quarterback John Lux, who threw 22 completions for 370 yards and four touchdowns. The Spartans lost their Homecoming game, 45-34. As the 2019-20 school year drew closer, the men’s lacrosse team met for captain-organized practices. The extra stick-work and exercise ensured the team stayed sharp throughout the summer.

Ghosts, Ghouls and Glowsticks

In the spirit of Halloween, Photojournalism students experimented with exposure, long shutter speeds, glow sticks, fire and Halloween masks in our blacked-out studio.
