As Christians we value life at all levels. And, as Christians, we have an obligation to make our voices heard at next week’s elections.
Amendment 3 is on the ballot in the Nov. 3 mid-term elections in Missouri. Voters have the opportunity to repeal the current protections on abortion in Missouri and advocate for the rights of the unborn.
This will not only affect the current generations but future generations of image-bearers of God.
A 2026 report from the National Right to Life Communications Department revealed that 24.5 million unborn babies have been terminated in Generation Z, while 26 million were aborted in the Millennial generation.
To put these numbers into perspective, there have been roughly 65 million total abortions since 1973, the year Roe v. Wade passed in the Supreme Court.
Many people have asked my parents whether they would have aborted me if they had learned of my cerebral palsy diagnosis during pregnancy rather than when I was 5 months old. I am grateful they chose life.
On Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, Missouri voters will have the opportunity to make a change by voting “yes” to Amendment 3.
What is Amendment 3? If passed, it would repeal the abortion rights approved by voters in 2024. It would ban most abortions at any stage except in limited circumstances, including medical emergencies, severe fetal anomalies, and rape or incest within the first 12 weeks.
What else would it do? It would also constitutionally prohibit gender-transition procedures for minors.
If Amendment 3 passes, it will restore the 60 pro-life laws that Missouri had instituted before they were eliminated in 2024.
A study from the American College of Pediatricians found scientific evidence that human life begins at conception: “At fertilization, the human being emerges as a genetically distinct, individuated zygotic living human organism.”
Merriam-Webster’s definition of abortion is “the expulsion of a human fetus.”
Many pro-lifers argue that humans are made in the image of God—even unborn babies. Therefore, we should be life-givers.

At the height of the abortion epidemic in 1990-1992, there were 1.6 million abortions.
This is a vote that will define generations to come. Don’t forget to vote next week, and don’t forget to vote for life.
