The MBU women’s lacrosse team took time to give a helping hand with Spensa, Special Needs Soccer Association, at Soccer Park on the morning of Oct. 1. The lacrosse team paired up with buddies and helped the kids in learning soccer drills, play a soccer game, be there for them and just have fun.
Students, faculty and MBU alumni participated in a corn hole tournament in the quad on Saturday, Oct. 25 of Homecoming weekend at Missouri Baptist University. MBU students Clayce Fletcher and Jake Gingrich won the tournament.

Student Activities, along with the Athletics Department and Cheer Program, puts together a tailgate before each home football game. The tradition will continue this weekend for Homecoming. Mini Spartans from all over the St. Louis area learned new skills and techniques taught by the Spirit Program during a recent clinic. After the clinic, Mini Spartans had the opportunity to perform alongside MBU’s Spirit Program during the halftime show.
The Association of Black Collegians at Missouri Baptist University hosted a panel discussion Thursday, Sept. 29, that included MBU students, faculty and staff. The panel focused their discussion around the question: What must we as individuals sacrifice to facilitate public order?
An MBU tradition continued this year as students gathered around the American flag pole outside the Administration Building for “See You At The Pole.” Students gathered to sing and pray at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
AMP campus ministries took a group of students up to Lake Williamson in Illinois for their annual Fallout Retreat, the weekend of Sept. 16. Over 20 students attended, including the MBU Chapel Band and guest speaker Curtis Gilbert, pastor of The Journey Church Metro East. The weekend was filled with Bible study, worship and of course, a lot of fun.
